Access Policy

The Spare Rib Burlesque & Cabaret aims to be as accessible and inclusive as possible with the resources available to us. Please see venue specific access policies for more in depth information about venues. If you cannot find venue specific access information please contact us and we will get these to you.

  • Seats are available for all guests who need them.
  • We do not use strobe lights and avoid using flashing lights in our events. If these are present we will warn you before the act begins.
  • Trigger and content warnings will precede each act and you are free to step away if needed at any time. If you have any less obvious triggers that you would like to be warned about, please get in touch.
  • If you need to be seated in a specific place due to any disability please get in touch. This may mean being seated near the front due to being blind/low vision; sitting near an aisle in a chair or your wheelchair due to mobility needs; being located near an interpreter; being located near to an exit etc.
  • Our shows Downstairs at the Everyman will have a British Sign Language interpreter throughout and lyrics will be signed with a mix of BSL & SSE.
  • If you require an essential companion ticket, please contact boxoffice@everymanplayhouse.com for our shows at The Everyman, and thesparerib@outlook.com for any other venues.
  • We aim to provide brief audio description of performers and their acts in their introduction where possible. We cannot at present provide full audio description however you are welcome to bring a describer as an essential companion if needed.
  • If you are unable to afford a full priced ticket due to no/low income, please get in touch with us as we have a small number of tickets available at a reduced price.
